CT SOLUTIONS has joined the REVIA project as a technology partner in a collaborative initiative aimed at accelerating sustainability, circularity, and digital transformation in the battery industry. The project focuses on the experimental development of advanced solutions to enable the second life of batteries, improving the efficiency and traceability of the entire value chain—from design and manufacturing to refurbishment and reuse.

REVIA uses MILLOR BATTERY, a leading Spanish battery manufacturer and the project’s lead partner, as its industrial reference case. In a highly complex and regulated sector where industrial efficiency and traceability are critical, the objective is to visualize, analyze, and optimize key processes to improve operational performance while reducing the environmental impact associated with battery manufacturing.

A Multidisciplinary Consortium for a Strategic Challenge

The project is driven by a consortium that brings together complementary expertise in automotive, digitalization, advanced materials, and plastics. The consortium includes MILLOR BATTERY, CT SOLUTIONS, inèdit, Leartiker, Thinex Rotimpres, CIAC – Clúster de la Indústria d’Automoció de Catalunya, CEP – Spanish Plastics Centre, the Digital Cluster of Catalonia, and the Advanced Materials Cluster of Catalonia. This combination of expertise enables the consortium to address the challenge comprehensively, in line with European sustainable mobility objectives.

CT SOLUTIONS’ Contribution to REVIA

Within the project, CT SOLUTIONS leads the digitalization of logistics processes related to the manufacturing and refurbishment of second-life batteries. Specifically, the company will focus on:

  • Simulation models to anticipate and prevent logistics bottlenecks.
  • Optimization of industrial workflows to improve efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Predictive maintenance systems to anticipate critical maintenance needs within the plant.

This approach contributes to a smarter, more connected, and fully traceable value chain, a key factor in ensuring the industrial viability and scalability of second-life battery solutions.

Project Launch with an In-Person Kick-Off Meeting

Consortium members held the project’s in-person kick-off meeting, marking the official operational launch of REVIA. With this initial meeting, the project enters a key phase focused on deploying and validating its solutions in a real-world manufacturing, refurbishment, and traceability environment.

Toward a More Circular, Digital, and Competitive Industry

REVIA is part of the transition toward a more sustainable and competitive mobility ecosystem. Its outcomes will help accelerate the shift to circular industrial models that are digitally optimized and prepared to meet the challenges of the mobility of the future.

Through its participation in REVIA, CT SOLUTIONS reaffirms its commitment to industrial innovation and sustainability by delivering advanced digitalization and simulation capabilities that transform critical processes within the battery industry.
