CT Solutions is participating in the ERP-PLM Universal Connector project together with the Smartech Cluster, the Innovasturias Cluster, and the companies SoftNeos and Sispyme.
ERP-PLM Universal Connector project aims to establish a connection between widely used systems in the Spanish industry, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). Simultaneously, it ensures the existence of a single source of data between them, thus contributing to the digitalization of companies and streamlining the corresponding implementations.
The universal connector enables communication between any ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning) and PLM collaborative platforms (Product Lifecycle Management) to ensure the existence of a single source of data between them quickly, intuitively, simply, and robustly. This contributes to the digitalization of the company, with the advantage of maintaining communications without needing to know the specific characteristics of each system. The key difference from other integrations is its universality, which moves away from ad-hoc integrations developed for specific environments and instead opts for solutions that are entirely agnostic to any type of ERP and PLM.
Furthermore, it will allow manufacturers with in-house design or companies responsible for product design to transfer information between the two systems in an agile, passive or active, simple, relational, automated, and transparent manner.
This project has been led by the Smartech Cluster and financed through the grant program to support Innovative Business Associations (AEIs) of the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Tourism. To achieve this, a consortium of companies has been formed, with notable participation from Cadtech, a company belonging to CT Solutions, CLUB ASTURIANO DE LA INNOVACIÓN – INNOVASTURIAS, SoftNeos Engineering and Computer Services, S.L., and Sispyme Software Factory.
It is worth noting that one of the most important characteristics of this project is the time savings, data quality when it is decentralized, minimization of development, implementation, and maintenance costs, as well as the opening of new paradigms within Industry 4.0.
Finally, regarding the recipients and/or beneficiaries of the results of this project, they would focus on manufacturing companies that design their own products (non-manufacturers) but design products for others, up to companies developing or supplying Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, which will be able to offer their customers guaranteed interconnection with any design and/or business management system.
